Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner
Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is the ultimate product for restoring stained or lightly damaged wooden surfaces.
It is ideal for any finished wooden surface that is stained or showing typical wear-and-tear or exhibiting abrasive damage such as scratching, scraping, and shallow cuts.
Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner will enable you to refresh and maintain the natural beauty of wooden furniture, countertops, bar tops, and floors. It is especially effective on surfaces that have been treated with a wood finish like Osmo Polyx-Oil.
Over repeated use, it will clean and regenerate the surface. Its ease-of-use makes it perfect as a quick and effective application for repairs.
Coverage is based on one application
One liter will cover between 860 to 1076 square feet with a single coat.
Description:
Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is specially designed for the initial cleaning of wooden surfaces treated with Osmo Polyx®-Oil in the interior, as well as for occasional refreshing and maintenance.
Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner regenerates and cleans at the same time. It is easy to use and allows for a quick and economical application. It is also suitable for removing heavy stains.
Recommended use:
Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner is ideal for removing tough stains, e.g., grease or shoe polish, and is best suited for refreshing all surfaces treated with Osmo Polyx®-Oil.
What it contains:
It is based on natural vegetable waxes (carnauba and candelilla wax) and dearomatized white spirit (benzene-free). It complies with Environment Canada VOC regulations (SOR/2009-264). Full declaration of ingredients available upon request.

Storage recommendations:
- It can be stored for up to 5 years—even longer if the container is kept dry and closed tightly.
- If thickened by frost, store for 24-36 hours at room temperature before use.
Surface preparation instructions:
- The wood surface must be dust-free and dry. For this purpose a dust mop, regular mop, or vacuum cleaner is suitable.
- For simple cleaning and maintenance, the Osmo Cleaning Kit for Floors (dust-mop, micro-mop plush, and an active fibre cloth) is highly recommended.
- For cleaning high-traffic and dirty flooring, e.g. in public spaces, use Osmo Micro-Mop (water mixed with Osmo Wash and Care) and buff dry afterward.
Directions for use:
- Shake before use. Do not dilute.
- First clean the wood surface with a cloth, mop, or vacuum cleaner.
- Areas that have been treated with Osmo Polyx®-Oil can be cleaned with a damp cloth (add Osmo Wash and Care to the cleaning water) and wiped dry to avoid moisture penetration within the joints.

To remove heavy stains: Apply a small amount on a cloth and rub the dirty area
- For heavier stains use a Scotchpad. Wipe off any dirt residue.

To maintain: Apply very thinly on the clean surface. Two teaspoons will cover approx. 11 square feet.
Cleaning of tools:
- Use with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner (free of aromatic compounds).
Drying Time:
- Approx. 30-40 minutes (normal climatic conditions, about 23°C with 50% relative humidity).
- Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity can increase the drying time. Ventilate well while drying.
Coverage:
- Product coverage of Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner strongly depends on absorption and the level of contamination of the substrate.
- One liter will cover approx. 860 - 1076 square feet (80 - 100 square meters) with a single application.
Notes:
- Through the routine application of hard waxes (carnauba and candelilla waxes), the flooring is refreshed, and its resistance to stains and wear is improved. However, it is absolutely essential over the course of years to reapply the necessary oil ingredients in Polyx®-Oil to the floor. Only use very sparingly otherwise traffic marks may appear.
- Use Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner White only on white substrates. In especially high traffic areas, refinish the cleaned area with Osmo Polyx®-Oil.
Hazard statements:
- Do not get in eyes. Do not get on skin or clothing.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Use only in a well-ventilated area.
First aid treatment:
- Contains aliphatic hydrocarbons.
- If swallowed, call a Poison Control Centre or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
- If in eyes, rinse with water for 15 minutes.
Disposal:
- Dispose of leftover product and completely empty packaging according to local official guidelines (waste code number 08 01 11).
- Only completely emptied cans can be recycled.
