Galaxy Seirios 8" Floor Belt Sander

The new Seirios belt sander has the belt-only drum like an Omega, but with the front door like a 2000. It also has a redesigned dust pan for better dust pickup, a bigger front handle that doubles as a light bracket, a multi-position dust tube, and a split rear wheel.

It's chassis based on the proven 504 chassis, this machine has plenty of drum pressure for those tough jobs. The motor is easily removable for transport. The only downside to these machines is the weight and the open motor.

Galaxy makes the most aggressive belt sanders on the market. The 2000 is the choice for a machine that is fast cutting and with belt or sheet paper sanding. If you do not use the sheet sandpaper and only belts we recommend the Galaxy Omega sander. The Omega is the same as the 2000 but it has a belt drum only that will sand more smoothly than the 2000 when used in belt mode.

Two Machines in One

7.5 hp Motor
At the heart of all our floor sanders is a single phase, 7.5 hp motor, custom manufactured by Galaxy. This heavyweight exceeds the 4.5 hp industry average by over 66%! An optional 3-Phase 9.0 hp is available for industrial applications. ***By loosening two release pins, the motor easily detaches for speed and ease in disassemble and one-man transportation. More power, more torque, perfectly balanced with drum speed and drum pressure provide a real performance advantage.
